1. For the plunger type carburetor, you can first remove the top cover of the carburetor, take out the throttle valve, and remove the throttle valve wire from the throttle valve while compressing the spring with your fingers. Remove the needle clip, take off the main oil needle from the throttle valve, pinch it with your fingers, and check whether the main oil needle conical surface is worn or not.

2. For the vacuum diaphragm valve type carburetor, unscrew the vacuum chamber cover screw, remove the vacuum chamber cover, spring and vacuum plunger combination from the carburetor, and check whether the vacuum plunger is smooth in the carburetor and not. Rotational movement. While holding down the main oil needle holder, turn the main oil needle holder to the left and remove it. Remove the spring, spring adjuster, main oil needle and gasket from the vacuum plunger assembly.

3. Remove the oil filter of the float valve seat, and check whether there are abnormal conditions such as stepped wear and incomplete contact on the contact surface between the needle valve and the valve seat valve line. Remove the cover of the float chamber, take out the float pin, the float and the float needle valve in turn, and check whether the float is damaged. For the float with hollow structure, it is also necessary to check whether there is any abnormal situation such as fuel intrusion in the float. Remove the main jet, main nozzle holder, main nozzle and idle jet. When removing the idle speed adjustment screw, first turn the adjustment screw gently to the end, and record the number of rotations silently, so as to be a reference for the next installation.

Cleanings

(1) After removing the carburetor, cover the engine air intake with a clean cloth or tape to prevent dust and foreign matter from entering.

(2) The cleaning of the carburetor should be carried out in a relatively clean and quiet place. Before cleaning, use a brush dipped in a little gasoline to remove impurities such as dust, oil and dirt on the surface of the carburetor. If you blow it with compressed air, the effect will be better.

(3) Each measuring hole of the carburetor is made of copper material, especially the notch of the main measuring hole, there should be no burrs. The thickness of the screwdriver (that is, the flat-head screwdriver) used for disassembly and assembly must be equal to the width of the flat-head slot of the main measuring hole. Otherwise, the screwdriver will slip in its notch, and metal shavings will be produced, which will fall into the measuring hole.

(4) Compressed air must be used when cleaning the body and each measuring hole of the carburetor. It is absolutely forbidden to wipe the carburetor and its parts with a cloth that is prone to fluff or lint, so as to prevent the falling particles and debris from staying in places that are invisible to the naked eye and causing unexpected failures.

(5) For the blocked measuring hole, it is strictly forbidden to use hard objects such as steel wire to dredge it, so as not to change the diameter of the measuring hole and cause changes in the performance of the carburetor. Only use gasoline and compressed air to flush it.
